how i do a story (just so you know)

She set out, all thoughts of fear and scare gone. The snow fell on her eyelashes as she went to her friend’s house.

Now that’s how most stories start. Mine, though–it’s kind of different..

She set out, all thoughts of fear gone. She looked at the red house next to hers, glared at her friend, and threw a snowball. Bull’s eye. Her friend Amanda looked out, but she was gone. She had ducked between the old thorny rosebushes and threw one again. Amanda just threw her Eggnog cup at the window, shattering two glasses.

There. Now you know. So get used to it!

Mr. Pringles

“Hey, wait up!” Cosette screamed at Fantine. They were going to the cellar of the school, and they were looking for a test tube for Chemistry Class.

“I’m Sorry-can I help you?” An old man’s voice said. Cosette froze. “Um, new ringtone, Fantine?” She asked.

“No-Actually, it couldn’t be any professor.. This is an all girl school…” Fantine responded.

“So Sorry to frighten you..” The voice said again. When it stepped out, he threw a food container at her and Fantine. “Isn’t today a jolly day?” The man said, dancing. “Happy Pringle day!” Cosette looked at the container.

PRINGLES: SOUR CREAM AND ONION

Fantine was eating them already.

“G’day! My name is Mr. Pringles!” He said as he left.

The scent of fresh air…

Fantine waited for Cosette for a very long time. “Cosette! What took you so long?” She asked. “Sorry, Mr. Cortez asked me to help paint the Student’s lounge. Then I got so tired I bought two bottles of soda. Then-“

“Okay, Okay! I understand.” Fantine laughed. She was a joyful person, with the talent of playing the violin, piano, flute, guitar and drums. She was a Filipina, which made Cosette misunderstand her words like tabo (dipper) for mango. So in fact, when she needed to pass it to another Filipino person (a lot of students are Filipino) it will say ‘Do you drink Too Big?’ Because Fantine would ask Cosette to write some notes for her. “No, no! It’s T-U-B-I-G, not Too Big!” Fantine explained.

“Oh!” Cosette laughed. Fantine’s friend, Emma, was turning 15 tomorrow. She told Cosette that they should find a gift. Fantine gave her some wooden planks to help build her new clubhouse, and Cosette gave her Electric Blue paint. “Thanks so much guys! The best gift I’ve ever had are these! This wood is smooth and does not cause splinters! This blue is eye-catching! This will make my clubhouse 1st place! Wow!” Emma said.

Cosette did not wear her diamond crusted heels without Fantine. Meanwhile, she only wore Her Ruby Red heels. It was not that high, and besides, it brought out her red hair, and it was simple. “Fantine! wait up!” Cosette shouted. She was not catching up because her sandal got loose.

Moving and Meeting

In 1960, there was a princess named Cosette. She helped the whole kingdom, from plagues to sicknesses. Their kingdom was clean in no time flat! But one day in June, Cosette’s mother said they needed to move to a small town called Rose. “Mother, no!” Cosette, pleaded, making sure her mother agreed that it was not for Royal people.

“We are in great danger. I am sorry but we will have to wear jeans instead of gowns, um, we’re also taking a taxi!” her mother explained. Cosette hated taxis-jeans made her sweaty-and she simply hated to move! On the day they moved, (June 30) Cosette took a deep, deep breath. As her-ewww-sneakers stepped inside the cold floor of the cab, Cosette refused. She caused a tantrum for 30 minutes. She had no choice but to step inside and sit on the seat strangers lay their butt on. Cosette wished she had her diamond-crusted high heels back in her feet. It was a 1-hour trip, with radio music and dirt on the window. It was even raining! A rainy Monday, Cosette thought.

They reached there. Cosette enrolled in Vintage School, the popular school. That Wednesday Cosette met Fantine, a 16-year old girl that studied there for life. She told her all about the school gym, classrooms and dorms. “I bet you’re Dorm 7 with me!” Fantine whispered.

That day Cosette was overjoyed (maybe not OVERjoyed but happy) that she got to be in the same room with her first friend. Their room was large, with fur carpets that Cosette liked. The beds were the perfect size, and every night Fantine would tell her all about her team and how they  ghost-busted and stuff.

Cosette was desperate about this. every night she’d ask Fantine if she could join. Every night Fantine slept early, and kept Cosette annoyed by snoring. “Mmmm…”

Cosette walked in the halls.
